Client's Challenge

The Springbank Off-stream Reservoir (SR-1) is a dry reservoir designed to temporarily store flood water and reduce flood risk by managing downstream river flow rates and volume. Reliable performance was a top priority in the design of internal unpaved access roads.

Tensar Solution

The original specification called for TriAx TX5 geogrid, selected for its proven ability to deliver consistent and dependable results. However, the higher performing H-Series HX5.5 was installed across all internal unpaved access roads, offering enhanced performance and long-term durability.

The decision to use Tensar geogrid was driven by its track record of reliability, backed by rigorous full-scale testing and validated performance data. This choice ensured that the project benefited from a solution that not only met but exceeded design expectations, reducing long-term maintenance costs and improving structural integrity.
