Ryan Austin

Ryan Austin is a field engineer for Tensar West Area, based in his home state of Colorado. He pursued a degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, graduating in 2018. Ryan actively participated in the American Society of Civil Engineers Student section during his time at CSU, leading the steel bridge and concrete canoe teams.

After graduating, Ryan began his professional career as a Field Engineer at Shimmick Construction. He supported the construction of retaining walls, box culverts, drainage and sewage systems, roadway earthwork, and paving on the Fullerton Grade Separation project in California. Later, Ryan transitioned to Flatiron Construction, where he helped manage runway rehabilitation, concourse expansions, and taxiway construction at Denver International Airport.

Ryan's passion for engineering is matched by his love for outdoor activities. He enjoys mountain biking, camping, and skiing.
