Geogrid Installation Best Practices
(Duration 30 minutes // 0.5 PDH Credit)
Stabilization geogrids provide significant benefits in site work and the construction of paved and unpaved roads. They can be used to minimize aggregate fill requirements, reduce or eliminate undercut, improve compaction, build construction platforms and extend service life. All of these benefits depend on proper installation, and while installing geogrid is relatively simple, not following the correct procedures can compromise performance or lead to failures.
This webinar will discuss proper procedures for installing geogrids and factors which may affect the process.
Topics to be covered include:
- Site preparation and planning
- The impact of soil conditions on the process
- Placing geogrid and aggregate fill
- Compaction procedures
- Special conditions and considerations
