Triton® Marine Cells

100% UV Resistant
4 Main Applications
  • Designed for marine applications
  • Made from select grades of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resins
  • Highly oriented and resists elongation (creep) from high tensile loads
  • Resistant to installation damage and chemical or biological long-term degradation
Overview

Triton marine cells are used to construct high-strength, composite earth fills in adverse conditions, including confined, structural-quality fills built below the water level or with weak fill materials (a geotextile liner placed within the cells enables the use of fine-grained fill materials). Applications include:

  • Bulkheads (new construction or rehabilitation)
  • Cores for breakwaters, groins, jetties, and dikes
  • Foundations for embankments or mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) slopes or walls
  • Containment dikes for dredge spoils or other waste materials
SKUs

Triton marine cells are constructed with three SKUs of uniaxial geogrids: UX100, UX200, and UX300.

Why Choose Triton Marine Cells?

Triton marine cells are made of non-corrosive HDPE materials, can be filled faster than gabions, come in a stone veneer option, and can be used to construct structural embankments with marginal fill or in submerged conditions.

Increase Project Productivity

As a three-dimensional foundation mat, Triton marine cells can improve not only constructability but also stability, bearing capacity, and distribution of pressure. Their rapid filling characteristics and ability to reduce dewatering requirements can shorten construction timetables and increase productivity.

A Resilient Solution

Triton marine foundation mats are 100% UV resistant and will not rust, leach, or degrade in direct sunlight. When you build with geogrids, you can count on a higher-performing and longer-lasting solution for future generations to enjoy.
