Wright County Gravel Road

A challenging section of gravel road was identified for repair by Wright County. The road received a high amount of traffic from heavy, agricultural vehicles. Damage to the existing roadway was exacerbated by the underlying organic soils, which were frost susceptible and especially weak during the spring months when the subgrade was saturated.

During the repair, InterAx geogrid was used below the aggregate to improve bearing capacity, eliminate excessive rutting, and mitigate the effects of the frost susceptible subgrade.
