Licensed professional engineers have many responsibilities and are answerable to multiple stakeholders. While technical knowledge and expertise are essential for meeting an engineer’s responsibilities, they are not sufficient. As a licensed professional, the engineer also has legal and ethical responsibilities which must be fulfilled.
In this webinar, we will discuss important aspects of professional ethics for engineers, including:
The stakeholders to whom engineers are responsible in their work
The legal frameworks of professional ethics under which licensed engineers practice
Codes of ethics and their applicability to professional practice
Potential conflicts between stakeholders and responsibilities
Application of these concepts to real world situations
This session will focus on both the fundamental principles on which ethical practice is built and the practical application of these principles.
We hope you can join us!
