Comparing Geogrids

There are dozens of geogrids and other geosynthetic products on the market – how do you know which is right for your project’s needs, and how do you compare different products?

In this session, we will discuss geosynthetic products and their engineering functions, with a focus on geogrids and understanding the similarities and differences among products in the geogrid category.

Specific learning objectives will include:

• Understanding the differences between the functions of reinforcement and stabilization using geogrids.
• The different types of geogrids available and the functions provided by each.
• The use, and misuse, of material property data when comparing geogrids. The role of design in selecting the proper products for the intended function.
