Sub-Ballast Stabilization

When tracks are built over soft subgrades, additional structural fill is required to bridge over the weak subgrade; service life of the design section is decreased; or a combination of the two can occur. The result of these sub-ballast challenges is additional construction costs, along with increases in operational costs and lost productivity.

The Spectra® Rail System can be used to help rail operators increase the service life of the sub-ballast layer.
