Mesa® Retaining Wall Systems
The Connection You Can Count On™
Overview
Mesa Retaining Wall Systems combine the economy and versatility of segmental concrete units with proven geogrid technology to create a new generation of structural block walls – and a new standard in structural wall systems. The Mesa Systems succeed through a combination of Tensar® structural geogrids, high strength concrete units, and a unique "locking" connector that creates a positive, mechanical, end-bearing connection. This positive connection assures full load transfer from the wall face to the reinforcement, resulting in unsurpassed reliability.

Furthermore, the Mesa Systems are integrated systems. Unlike modular walls, which mix-and-match components from different sources, every component of a Mesa Wall has been specifically designed and detailed to work together for optimum efficiency and performance. In addition, Mesa Walls do not require "core-fill" – offering a major cost and installation time advantage.

For the residential and commercial markets, the Mesa Systems now offer two products to further help you meet your site’s specific needs:

Mesa Ashford™ System – The new, more natural look! Ashford Walls include a random patterned design and feature the same structural integrity and reliability as standard Mesa Walls. Units are 8 inches tall and are available in widths of 6, 12, and 18 inches providing an infinite number of Ashlar mosaic-like patterns to choose from.

Mesa Plateau™ System – The superior solution for your low-height wall needs. Easy to handle, Plateau Units may be used for wall heights up to 10 feet and have hollow cores that promote built-in drainage. Their unique lug design used in combination with aggregate fill interlocks Tensar Geogrid to the wall face. This creates a built in setback and eliminates the need for pins, clips or mortar.

Component Function
Tensar Structural Geogrids Internally reinforce structure and fill materials; inert to chemical degradation, Tensar structural geogrids can be used with non-select fill or even crushed concrete.
Mesa Segmental Unit High strength concrete block with compressive strength that exceeds AASHTO standards(>4000 psi).
Structural Mechanical Connector Specifically designed to connect block to geogrid mechanically with a low-strain, end-bearing connection that is not dependent on friction for integrity.
Mesa Standard Unit Mesa High
