Pressure Relief Walls
Pressure relief walls support soil and building loads below grade and are specified for building foundations, bridges, flood walls and other new construction and rehabilitation projects. These walls reinforce surrounding fill, eliminating lateral soil loads that could compromise an adjacent structure’s strength and stability.
Traditional pressure relief walls, including cast-in-place concrete and counterfort walls, are costly and can be difficult to stage and install. Structurally equivalent to conventional solutions, Tensar International’s SierraScape® Retaining Wall System Pressure Relief Walls offer an effective yet lower cost alternative.
SierraScape Pressure Relief Walls are also an ideal alternative to the demolition/replacement of existing structures and can accommodate increased loads at expansion facilities.
